With an IQ of 121, the boy had high intelligence but lacked direction to apply it. Assessments mapped his attributes and interests to compatible careers, providing clarity.
Considering the boy’s frustration, test results and need for supportive direction, counsellors suggested an engineering program at India’s prestigious National Defence Academy (NDA).
The NDA provides high-quality athletic training and education along with a special sports quota. Enrolling in 11th and 12th grade while preparing for NDA entrance exams, the boy gained acceptance and now thrives in academics and athletics.
Had educators forced him to continually suppress his athletic talents, this boy may have become increasingly disengaged and never actualized his potential. But with career counselling illumination and encouragement of his passions, he discovered an aligned path to excel with confidence and purpose.
