Dr. Nandkishore Rathi is a well-known expert in career guidance and career counseling among students and industry executives. He has a strong background in Psychometric career Assessment, Human resources management and training and development. He is famous for his motivational skills and worked for companies like Oracle and VideoCon. His academic journey includes bachelors in engineering from Nagpur University, followed by a PHD from IIT Bombay and also a Mercer Asia Award winner for his PHD research project.
Dr. Rathi holds 40 years of diverse experience, human resources and
operation to career guidance and counselling.
He started his professional career as placement officer
at IIT Bombay, where he connected with 300+ organizations annually. He was responsible for
placements of
900-1000 students annually to MNC like Morgan and Stanley, LG, Godrej etc .
On the Corporate side he has worked with MNCs like: Videocon and Oracle Corporation. In 2005, he
became the Director of Campus Relations at Oracle Corporation, overseeing campus recruitment
across
12 Asia-Pacific countries.
Dr. Rathi draws his extensive knowledge of corporate recruitment from his experience as placement head from 1995 to 2005 at IIT Bombay and as Director of Campus recruitment at Oracle. At Oracle he was responsible for overlooking and managing campus hiring across Asian countries like - Japan, Malaysia, China, Vietnam, Singapore. He has a deep understanding of analyzing job descriptions, training students, and coordinating with companies for successful placements.
Over 40 years of experience he has counselled more than 40,000 students and working professionals . He takes a scientific / research based approach for each of his sessions. Relevant data is collected from the individual. Followed by data analysis and case study comparison. Every individual gets a personalized session, keeping in mind his/her abilities, interest and personality types. Dr. Rathi method of counseling is humanistic and believes passion & interest can drive anyone to success. Being true to self and his/her ability is the key to happiness. His expertise are also in the area of interview preparation, group discussions, career coaching and personal development.
He has dedicated nearly 40 years to education and tech industries, held senior management positions at Videocon and Oracle. As placement cell head at IIT Bombay he has interacted with 300+ companies, solidifying his understanding of various functions and roles within different companies.
Dr Rathi has teaching experience in institutions like K.J.Somaiya Institute of Management and Research - Mumbai, and IIT Bombay. He has been invited as guest speaker at prestigious institutes like Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani and Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
