Career as an Astrophysicist



An Astronomer studying the physical components of celestial objects is known as an Astrophysicist. Astrophysicists see stars on the job every day. Astrophysicists study and interpret astronomical phenomena to increase knowledge of how the universe works. Their work is closely related to the work of astronomers, and the field of astrophysics is a subfield of astronomy and physics. Research and development is the primary focus of an astrophysicist. Basic research is conducted to gather scientific knowledge, while advanced research may lead to the development of scientific devices and research equipment. They use telescopes stationed on land and in space to observe celestial bodies and phenomena. Work Environment



The work schedule for an astrophysicist depends on the employment setting. Researchers may need to spend long hours at work. They also work in laboratories. Entry Level Education
