Human Resource Manager - Training and development help plan, conduct, and administer programs that train employees and improve their skills and knowledge. Training and Development HR Manager create, administer, and deliver training programs for businesses and organizations. To do this, they must first assess the needs of an organization. Once those needs are determined, specialists develop custom training programs that take place in classrooms or training facilities. Training programs are increasingly delivered through computers, tablets, or other handheld electronic devices. Training and Development HR Manager organize or deliver training sessions using lectures, group discussions, team exercises, hands-on examples, and other formats. Training can be in the form of a video, self-guided instructional manual, or online application. Training also may be collaborative, which allows employees to connect informally with experts, mentors, and colleagues, often through the use of technology. They may monitor instructor's, guide employees through media-based programs, or facilitate informal or collaborative learning programs. Work Environment

• Human Resources Managers typically work in an office setting with a typical nine to five work week. Training and development managers typically work in offices. Some travel between a main office and regional offices or training facilities. They spend much of their time working with people and overseeing training activities. Most training and development managers work full time during regular business hours. However, training and development managers do work overtime more than the average HR manager whenever needed.
